Mr. Adkins has spent over thirty years in the Property and Casualty Insurance Industry where he has held various sales positions.

Mr. Adkins began his sales career in 1971 with American Mutual Ins. Co. specializing in workers' compensation. In 1977, he was employed with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. - St. Louis in the sales / brokerage department and received various promotions rising to Area Vice President. In 1996, Mr. Adkins became a co-founder of Insurance Risk Managers of Missouri, Inc.

During his career, Mr. Adkins' sales experience has included commercial insurance, self-insurance, rent-a-captives and other Alternative Risk products. Mr. Adkins also received numerous sales awards for being in the "Top Ten" producers nationwide as well as "Producer of the Year" during his employment with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. - St. Louis. He has devoted most of his last twenty years to providing insurance products to the Moving and Storage industry. Mr. Adkins participated in the production of the United Van Lines / Vanliner agency program in 1980 and an Atlas Van Lines Owner Operator program in 1990, both of which continue to exist in various forms today.

In 1996, Mr. Adkins became co-founder of Insurance Risk Managers of Missouri, Inc. He is responsible for outside sales and is currently licensed in 41 states. The main thrust of this agency is to continue to provide insurance to the moving and storage industry. IRM insures movers nationwide representing all of the major van lines, many independent agents / van lines and has received the endorsement of various state moving and storage associations.
