Mr. McAleenan has spent over thirty years in the Property and Casualty Insurance Industry where he has held various positions for both insurance companies and insurance agencies.

Mr. McAleenan began his career in 1974 as an underwriter for U.S.F.&G Companies and later with Atlantic Mutual Companies. In 1979, he was employed with Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. - St. Louis in the marketing department and received various promotions rising to Area Vice President. In 1990, Mr. McAleenan joined Lockton Co's. In 1996, Mr. McAleenan became a co-founder of Insurance Risk Managers of Missouri, Inc.

During his career, Mr. McAleenan's experience has included program business, self-insurance, rent-a-captives and other Alternative Risk products. He has devoted most of his last twenty years to providing insurance products to the Moving and Storage industry. Included in these programs, Mr. McAleenan participated in the initial marketing and underwriting of the United Van Lines / Vanliner agency program in 1980 and an Atlas Van Lines Owner Operator program in 1990, both of which continue to exist in various forms today.

Mr. McAleenan is responsible for marketing and in-house management. The main thrust of this agency is to continue to provide insurance to the moving and storage industry. IRM insures movers nationwide representing all of the major van lines, many independent agents / van lines and has received the endorsement of various state moving and storage associations.
